It looks like the YSR Congress party government in Andhra Pradesh led by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is not going to leave former chief minister and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu till he is thrown behind the bars.
On Thursday, the Jagan cabinet decided to order an investigation by Central Bureau of Investigation into the alleged irregularities in the implementation of various welfare schemes.
The cabinet, which approved the recommendations of the cabinet sub-committee constituted to probe the irregularities during the TDP regime, decided to probe into the irregularities in Chandranna Sankranthi Kanuka, Ramzan Tofa and AP Fibregrid.
It may be recalled that Jagan has already ordered CBI probe into reports of alleged insider trading in Amaravati land deals during the TDP regime. The investigation is yet to commence.
