It’s difficult to envision Bigg Boss without Salman Khan. The Bollywood superstar started hosting the long-running reality TV show in 2010 and has been doing it for 10 seasons since then.
Due to the pandemic situation, many TV shows and films ground to halt abruptly. Among them Big Big Boss season which thought to have made a profound impact was also stopped and now fans have been eagerly anticipating for the BigBoss 14 season. Salman is said to make a come back as a host for Bigg Boss 14 season. While the buzz is that the show is guessed to go on air in October, it is believed for that this season, the entertainer will charge a higher compensation in contrast with past seasons.
In the 12th season of Bigg Boss, the actor purportedly charged a sum of Rs 12 to 14 crore per episode. As for season 13, he was said to receive Rs 400 crore for approximately 26 episodes of the show. Nevertheless, owing to the TRP ratings of the reality show, it was extended by 5 weeks giving a rise in the actor’s fee. Now the rumours are rife that the actor would charge 15 -16 crores for 14th season.
30 contestants have been short listed through online auditions. Out of which 13 celebrity contestants and three commoners were selected. The contestants are going to be subjected to strict health examination as per Covid-19 rules.
Big Boss 14 contestants include Karan Kundra, TV actress Alisha Panwar, MTV roadies season 8 winner Anchal Khurana, Akanksha Puri, Naagin 4 actress Jasmin Bhasin, MTV Spiltsvilla’s former participant Aarushi Dutta and TV actress Mansi Srivastava among others.
