While US saw record number of COVID cases on Friday (i.e 70,000+), United States President Donald Trump has for the first time made a public appearance wearing a face mask. Trump was at the receiving end for ignoring face mask while the cases were on surge all these days.
The US President, who paid a visit to the wounded army men and frontline workers at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Saturday, is seen wearing a mask. In the early days of pandemic, he downplayed the severity of virus and said that he didn’t want to wear a mask. It looks Trump has come into terms with the growing unpleasant situation in US. This has become a top news headlines across the media channels.
Speaking to media reporters after the visit, Trump said “I will probably have a mask if you must know. I think when you are in a hospital especially in that particular setting, where you are talking to a lot of soldiers, people that in some cases just got off the operating table. I think it’s a great thing to wear a mask. I’ve never been against masks but I do believe they have a time and a place.”
