Ram Gopal Varma never shies away from controversy. Infact, Varma is almost completely reliant on controversy and media attention. That is one of the major reasons why he makes films on highly controversial and sensitive subjects. His previous films like ‘Vangaveeti’, ‘Raktha Charitra’, ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’, and his upcoming project, ‘Power Star’ prove the same.
RGV says ‘Power Star’ is not based on any noted Telugu celebrity or politician. But the posters and video bits that were released by Varma clearly suggest that the film is based on Janasena’s commander in chief, Pawan Kalyan. It sheds poor light on Janasena and the related political developments post 2019 election.
Going by the latest buzz, Ram Gopal Varma will be targeting Nandamuri Balakrishna in his next project.
Varma will apparently be making a film on the controversial shooting incident which took place at Balakrishna’s residence back in 2004. It is known that noted producer Bellamkonda Suresh sustained a bullet injury in this mishap. Balakrishna had to serve jail time for his alleged involvement with the case and was released later.
RGV will be giving his own spin to the story and make a film which will be released on his digital streaming platform. The film has been tentatively titled ‘Aa Raathri Em Jarigindi’. More details about the project are yet to be revealed.
