By saying no to offers coming from OTT platforms, big-budgeted films and big stars might be safe, but not the other ones. With Nani opting for an OTT release of “V”, many other makers are now going the same way. One of them is none other than anchor Pradeep’s, “30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela?”.
Apparently the talk is that the success of that solo song ‘Neeli Neeli Aakasam’, which garnered almost 300 million views on YouTube, has made many big OTT platforms look at this film. Amazon Prime Video is said to have offered nearly 6.30 crores for the film, but the makers thought that waiting for a theatrical release would easily fetch them 20+ crores revenue.
Now that five months of a good time is gone, where theatres are closed and people are stuck only with OTT based entertainment, even the OTT players lost interest in these Telugu films. After delaying for months, when the makers of this film approached Amazon now, the rumours stating that the OTT giant offered only 3 crores.
With so many producers going to shoots and completing their pending projects, surely Amazon has many films to buy, so they are not interested to spend huge on fame-less heroes, they say. We have to see what will Pradeep do now.
