The YSRCP is not known to take a step back despite knowing that the public is against them in the decisions that the government has taken. In fact, the government goes head on into the matter, and actually makes it worse with their own doings.
Now, with respect to the conflict between the farmers of Amaravati and the government, a few leaders from the YSRCP have used absolutely derogatory language while addressing the farmers of Amaravati. These leaders questioned how people flying to Delhi in planes could be certified as farmers, and how people wearing Kanduvas can be called as farmers. Fact remains that a person can dress anyhow they want, and go anywhere in any form of transport. That doesn’t give another person to judge, based on the lifestyle one incorporates.
Leaders like Dharmana Krishnadas and Appalnaidu have made these derogatory statements against the people, without bearing in mind that these kinds of statements will put the entire government’s reputation at risk. If the job of these two ministers was jut to appease the High Command, there are several other ways to do it, but to use foul and filthy language on people who are fighting for their basic rights is down right degrading and inhumane.
What these ministers fail to understand is that all of us, somewhere or the other, have descended from ancestors who were at some point, farmers. Dharmana and Appalnaidu are no exceptions in this case, and it is something they thoroughly need to think about. With the damage that’s already been done to the YSRCP government, after announcing the 3 capital idea, instances like these are only making it worse.
