Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited the Spiritual city of India, Varanasi on Monday and inaugurated the six-lane widening project of the Handia (Prayagraj)-Rajatalab (Varanasi) section of National Highway 19.
After inaugurating the six-lane NH-19 stretch, Narendra Modi is dedicated to the nation. The 73 km long six-lane is expected to cut short the travel distance between Prayagraj and Varanasi by one hour.
Speaking at the event, Narendra Modi lauded the work of the Yogi Adityanath government and under the Yogi government, Uttar Pradesh has now become Express Pradesh.
Talking about the new six-lane, Narendra Modi said, the new road will come in hand during Kumbh which will reduce the problems faced by travelers who travel between Kashi and Prayagraj.
Post the inaugural, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Raj Ghat in Varanasi and lit an earthen lamp on the occasion of the Poornima celebrations, which is holy for Hindus. Varanasi is Modi’s parliamentary constituency.
On the occasion of Narendra Modi’s visit to Varanasi, the ghats of Varanasi were decorated. Nearly, 15 ghats of the Ganga river were decorated and cultural programs were also arranged.
