While the Telangana Rashtra Samithi is all set to test their luck against the threatening BJP in the GHMC elections, one of their MLAs took his last breath in the early morning. Nagarjuna Sagar MLA Nomula Narasimhaiah died due to heart attack.
Narasimhaiah, who has been suffering from health problems for the past few years, had a heart attack on Tuesday morning. He was rushed to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. Physicians have made an effort to provide breathing through a ventilator as he had been barely respirating on his own.
Even though the doctors made all their efforts to keep Nomula alive, they went in vain. Nomula Narasimhaiah has been in politics for 30 years. In 1987, he was elected President of the Nakirekal Mandal Parishad. He entered the Assembly in 1999 as a Comrade. Nomula, a three-time MLA, has been involved in various public movements.
In the 2018 elections, Nomula contested from the Nagarjuna Sagar constituency on behalf of TRS against Janareddy, who is known as a political veteran. In a sensational way, Nomula broke the winning streak of Janareddy by securing victory by a narrow margin and created history.
Born into an ordinary peasant family, Nomula continued his long journey as a comrade. He also played an active role in TRS. Several leaders, including CM KCR, expressed their deepest condolences over Nomula’s death.
