It is known that one of the Telangana Congress’ prominent leader V Hanumanth Rao raised a revolt against the high command a day after Revanth Reddy was appointed as the new PCC Chief of Telangana state. Now, another Congress leader joins VH opposing Revanth’s appointment.
Congress MLA Sangareddy T Jayaprakash Reddy cautioned high command saying that it is a hasty decision appointing Revanth Reddy as the new Congress chief. In a letter to the Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, besides AICC in-charge of Telangana affairs Manickam Tagore, Jagga Reddy said that the PCC Chief can be appointed after the Nagarjuna Sagar by-polls.
“There is no need for the immediate appointment of the PCC Chief and let Uttam Kumar continue till the process of Nargarjuna Sagar by-poll completes as it has to be the priority. Later we can decide about PCC Chief,” told Jagga Reddy.
“It has to be a consensus from all the senior leaders in the party and can’t be a unilateral decision by the high command,” added Jagga Reddy.
