For those who don’t already know, Naarappa, starring Venkatesh is the Telugu remake of Tamil super hit Asuran. The film is presently in final leg of production.
Our sources close to Naarappa unit have revealed that Suresh Babu who is producing the film is not satisfied with the output.
The senior producer suggested some changes in the rough cut and these scenes will be shot again now. Apparently, Suresh Babu did not like the screenplay in certain episodes and called for some last-minute changes.
Suresh Babu is very particular when it comes to output. He okays a project only after he is fully satisfied with the story and it might even take multiple months for him to green signal a project. Even after the shoot commences he is very proactive and often has a say in the final cut.
Moreover, Srikanth Addala who is at the helm for Naarappa is a subtle film-maker who only dealt with soft subjects till now. This is the first time he is directing an action drama with a fair share of violence and bloodshed. So, Suresh Babu is paying close attention to the project.
Incidentally, the release date of Naarappa has already been locked as the makers announced that the film will be releasing on 14th May, a day after Chiranjeevi’s Acharya hits the screens (May 13th).
