Will stop all benefits if you don’t vote for me, says YSRCP leader

Time was when the politicians used to go from house to house to beg for votes. The politicians would do everything to win over the voters. Some would even do the weirdest possible things to seek votes. Butt, times are a changing. Now the politicians no longer beg for votes. The in fact demand votes. What more? They even threaten the voters.

In Etcherla mandal of Srikakulam district, local YSRCP leader Chiranjeevi crossed all limits when he threatened the voters of dire consequences if they did not vote for his party. He told them that he knew how to deal with such people.”I shall get the names of such people removed from the list of beneficiaries. I have already got 40 names removed from Fareedpet,” he told the people present at a meeting in his village. “Even if the opposition wins, I will ensure that he loses the cheque power (the right to sign on the cheques) within two months.

He did not however realise the fact that his fulminations were being recorded on a mobile phone. The clip soon went viral and has become the talk of the town. His threat to teach a lesson after February 21 to all those who did not vote has also become the talk of the town. Interestingly, the politician is still brazen and is claiming that he would do what he has said he would do.

Is anyone in the top echelons of the YSRCP listening?
