Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut celebrated her 34th birthday on Tuesday. On the occasion of her birthday, the trailer of her upcoming film Thalaivi, a biopic of yesteryear Superstar and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa was released.
The trailer released a super response from various sections of people. Thalaivi traces the journey of J. Jayalalithaa from a bidding actor to a leading star and to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister from a heroine.
Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV reacted to Thalaivi trailer. The ace filmmaker said he might disagree with Kangana on certain issues, but opined that she deserves appreciation for her performance. Jayalalitha must be thrilled in heaven, RGV said.
“Hey @KanganaTeam I might disagree with u on certain overreaches in some specific regions but I want to salute u for being so super duper special #ThalaiviTrailer is just MINDBLOWING and I am sure JAYALALITHA must be thrilled in heaven, ” RGV’s tweet read.
The Queen actress responded to RGV’s post and said: Sir I don’t have a disagreement with you on anything. I like you and appreciate you. You don’t take anything seriously in the world where egos and prides get hurt.
“Hey sir… I don’t disagree with you on anything… I like and appreciate you very much, in this dead serious world where egos and prides get hurt so easily I appreciate you cause you don’t take anything seriously not even yourself…. Thank you for compliments,” Kangana replied to RGV’s tweet.
Thalaivi was slate for a theatrical release on 23 April 2021. The biopic is helmed by A. L. Vijay and produced by Vishnuvardhan Induri, Shailesh R. Singh. The film has an ensemble cast of Kangana Ranaut, Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta, Poorna, and Bhagyashree.
