Music composer AR Rahman as of late released the much awaited trailer of 99 Songs, a melodic romantic tale that denotes his debut as a story writer and producer. Co-written by Rahman, the film offers a brief glimpse of importance of music in one’s life and why music cannot be considered like any other well known professions.
The music director likewise presented the debutant Ehan Bhat from Kashmir as the musical film’s lead entertainer who shared his screen-space with American entertainer Edilsy Vargas in the melodic film which is scheduled to hit theaters in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on April 16. The audio launch of 99 Songs was organised on Friday in Chennai.
Furthermore, Rahman, who gives off an impression of being very calm and composed, appeared to be easy going on stage. He gave an amusing reply to an anchor when she introduced Rahman in Tamil wherein welcomed Ethan in Hindi while presenting him in front of the audience. But quickly responded by saying ‘Hindi’?,expecting her to speak in Tamil and walked away with the mic. However, he smiled and said he was just kidding.
Later while speaking about his debut production project , Rahman said, “As part of my production company, YM Movies, I’m happy to collaborate with Jio Studios in bringing together this experiential movie. 99 Songs is about one man’s struggle against the old and the new world. And the antidote is music.”
