In the recent times, film enthusiasts and viewers of Bollywood cinema boycotted films of big stars for being the flag bearers of nepotism. This eventually lead to ‘movie mafia terror’.
Kangana Ranaut’s forthcoming film ‘Thalaivi’ trailer was released on her birthday, which got incredible response from film critics and fans. Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday revealed that she received secret calls from Akshay Kumar and other big wigs lauding the trailer of her upcoming film Thalaivi.
The bold actress also opined that unlike Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone’s films, senior stars like Akshay can’t appreciate publicly because of the “movie mafia terror”.
Replying to a tweet praising her performance, she tweeted: “Bollywood is so hostile that even to praise me can get people in trouble, I have got many secret calls and messages even from big stars like @akshaykumar they praised @Thalaivithefilm trailer to the sky but unlike Alia and Deepika films they can’t openly praise it. Movie mafia terror.”
She wished that an industry of art can be objective when it comes to art, and not indulge in power play and politics with respect to films. She iterated her political views and spirituality are triggering bullying, harassment, and isolation. However, she said in case it happens, she still wins.
