Kangana Ranaut’s much-anticipated film ‘Thalaivi‘ has been postponed. The film was scheduled to hit the screens on 23rd April, but the makers today announced that the film has been pushed to another date because of the significant rise in coronavirus cases across the country.
The makers in an official announcement said that the film has been made in multiple languages and wanted to release it in all languages on the same day.
But with an alarming rise in Covid-19 cases, subsequent precautions and lockdowns, the movie team wants to stretch all the support towards the government rules and regulations and have postponed the release of Thalaivi.
Directed by AL Vijay, the film is a biopic of actress turned politician J Jayalalithaa. Apart from Kangana, the film also features, Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj and Bhagyashree in pivotal roles.
#Thalaivi has always been about people first and in these times, people and their safety comes first.
Stay safe everyone!
