Mulugu MLA Seethakka, who has been asking the Telangana government to include the Corona treatment under the Aarogyasri scheme, has sat for the Deeksha in this regard.
However, her hunger strike was called off after the cops reached the spot and arrested her. They shifted her to a hospital in an ambulance after her health condition deteriorated with the strike.
Along with the MLA, National Students’ Union of India(NSUI) State Chief Venkat Balmoor was also arrested and shifted to the hospital. The arrests have led to a tense situation at the spot.
While taking the duo to the hospital, the cops and activists had a war of words and a tussle at Indira Park. As a precautionary measure, the cops arrested several people.
MLA Seethakka has been supporting the demand to include the Corona treatment under the Aarogyasri scheme moved by the plight of the poor people, who are unable to bear the treatment cost.
She even raised the demand that free ambulance service should be provided to the poor people so that they won’t find any issues in reaching the hospitals for treatment.
