Pavala Syamala, who has appeared in hundreds of films, is living in conditions of great financial difficulty. The financial situation of the 70-year-old artist has gotten worse and cannot even afford to pay her rent.
Upon coming to know of Syamala’s condition, Megastar Chiranjeevi in the past gave her Rs 2 lakh. Now, yet again, the veteran actor came in rescue of the aged artist by donating a check of 1,01,500 on Tuesday on behalf of Maa Movie Artist Association. Besides, providing her with financial help, Megastar also offered her the Maa membership card, where she will get Rs 6,000 per month as a monthly pension.
It is learned that a pension of Rs 6,000 per month is being provided to senior artists of the Movie Artists Association. It turned out to be a boon for everyone during Covid-19 hard times. Also, if any artist dies untimely, they will have insurance of Rs 3 lakh.
The committee members thanked Chiranjeevi who came forward to help Syamala during this tough time by donating money and giving her ‘Maa’ card.
Speaking on the occasion, Pavala Shyamala thanked Chiru for helping her when she is in dire straits. She recalled that Chiranjeevi donated her Rs 2 lakh when she was in a lot of trouble.
“The good will never be forgotten. Then no one in the film industry helped. I will be indebted to him forever. Now in this predicament, Chiranjeevi has once again given Rs 1,01,500 and also helped to assist Rs 6000 every month. My heartfelt thanks to Chiranjeevi for the inspiration,” Syamala said.
