It’s been seven years since Telangana was bifurcated after long protests. Today is the seventh Formation Day of the state. Like the previous year, this year too, celebrations were limited.
Earlier today, TRS chief, Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao, aka KCR reached the Gun Park and paid tributes to the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives. He hoisted the National Flag at the Pragathi Bhavan.
The Telangana wing of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) had also celebrated the state formation day today. Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay and others hoisted the tricolor at the party office in the state capital Hyderabad.
After the low celebrations, Bandi Sanjay spoke to the media and targeted the ruling TRS party. The chief said, by 2023, he will wipe out the ruling party from the state.
Bandi Sanjay alleged that the martyrs didn’t get justice, even after seven years of the formation of the state. He said that his party and leader Sushma Swaraj had a role in getting the bill passed in the Parliament. KCR was not there when the bill was passed in the house, he said.
The saffron party is spreading its wings in Telangana and the GHMC elections and Dubbaka by-poll results gave the party the much-needed boost up. There is a lot of difference between winning by-elections and winning general elections.
We have to wait and see if the BJP can achieve what it is claiming to do in the forthcoming elections.
