The special court of the CBI has posted the case pertaining to the cancellation of bail for AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to July 1. YSRCP renegade MP Raghuramakrishnam Raju filed a a rejoinder in this case to the counter filed by YS Jagan. Jagan asked the court not to cancel his bail. Raghurama wanted this bail to be revoked.
Raju ‘s counsel claimed that the very fact that the court had admitted his client’s petition is indicative of the fact that it was eligible for hearing. He contended that Jagan could influence the officials either directly or indirectly and thus influence the case itself. Hence, he sought the cancellation of the bail for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the quid pro quo case. Raju also contended that the chief secretary, who is incharge of the general administration, could effect transfers and postings at the behest of the chief minister. He said he was seeking redressal as a citizen of India. He said Jagan was facing as many as 11 cases.
Raju has been at loggerheads with the YSRCP leadership and has time and again commented against the YSRCP and the chief minister. Recently, he has been arrested and released on bail by the Jagan government. Recently, the YSRCP has removed his name from the party website’s list of elected MPs.
