Players who hail from Andhra Pradesh and will represent India at the forthcoming Tokyo Olympics had met Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday.
Badminton Players PV Sindhu, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, and Rajani will be in Indian squad in the Olympics squad.Sindhu and Satwiksairaj met the Chief Minister, while Rajini couldn’t make it as she was undergoing trianing sessions in Bangalore.
During the meeting, CM Jagan presented Rs 5 lakh for the players and extended his best wishes for the prestigious tournament.As announced earlier, the Andhra Pradesh Government issued a Government Order (GO) to allocate two acres of land to PV Sindhu so that the player can start a badminton academy in the shore city Vizag. The GO copy for the same was also given to her.
On the behalf of Rajini, India women’s national field hockey team member, her family members met the Chief Minister and received the cash award.
