Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay is all set to begin his Padayatra on August 9th, which incidentally marks the date on which Mahatma Gandhi began the Quit India Movement. Bandi Sanjay said that he is taking up the Padayatra for a democratic Telangana.
Bandi Sanjay said that the Krishna River water dispute between AP and Telangana is a huge bogus, which is being publicised for the sake of it. He said that KCR already came to a secret agreement with Jagan, over this issue, which is being perpetrated just for the sake of KCR’s political gain, to help TRS win in Huzurabad. Bandi said that the Telangana state was getting just 299 TMC of Krishna water, which is less than what the Telangana state should get. He said that Telangana is supposed to get half of Krishna water, which is 575 TMC.
Bandi Sanjay went on to say that it is Etela Rajender who would be winning the upcoming Huzurabad by-elections, and not KCR’s TRS. He said that the Dalit Empowerment Conference that KCR recently conducted was just a sham that the CM put up, to win the votes of that community in Huzurabad. Bandi questioned KCR about the three acres of land and the 125 foot long Ambedkar statute that KCR promised to the Dalit community.
Furthermore, Bandi said that the BJP is leaving no stone unturned to get the support of the people for the upcoming by-elections, much like the way the BJP functioned during the Dubbaka by-elections. Bandi Sanjay’s first phase of Padayatra will begin on August 9th, from Charminar’s Bhagyalakshmi Temple, and end on October 2nd, in Huzurabad. Ranga Reddy, Medak, Nizamabad, Old Basti, Aryamaisamma, Moinabad, Chegoanda, Vikarabad and Karimnagar will be covered in the first phase, which consists of 55 days, where the leader is expected to walk 15-20 KM a day. He plans on covering the entire state within the upcoming two and a half years, until the upcoming elections.
