IPS Officer from Telangana RS Praveen Kumar has sparked the debate of his entry into politics by opting for voluntary retirement. He was relieved from the services after the state government approved his retirement.
Post his retirement, he has been making political statements and batting for Bahujana empowerment which gave rise to the reports that he might join the ruling TRS party.
Amid this, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and BSP Chief Mayawati announced that Praveen Kumar will join her party soon, reports claimed.
It is said that Praveen Kumar initially thought of floating his own political party. But during his visit to UP, Mayawati reportedly advised him to not go ahead with his idea and offered a place in her party and he agreed.
Mayawati is not leaving any stone unturned to see that she comes to power in Uttar Pradesh in the next general elections.
As the Bahujans and Brahmins will be the deciding factors, she is trying her level best to woo them. Praveen Kumar is also said to have received the invitation as part of her plans.
With both of them having the same goal of empowering Bahujans and other scheduled castes, they are expected to work together.
Before his retirement, RS Praveen Kumar rendered his services as the secretary for the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) and Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TTWREIS).
