The film industry was severely impacted by the Covid factor. The shootings were halted and the film releases were also postponed. With the theatres forced to shut during the lockdown period, the difficulties faced by the industry have intensified.
To see that the issues faced by the industry will be addressed, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy invited the undisputed king of Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi for a meeting to discuss the issues.
On the behalf of the Andhra Pradesh government, the Minister of Transport and I&P Perni Nani formally invited Megastar Chiranjeevi for the meeting.
Following this, Megastar Chiranjeevi chaired a key meeting with the bigwigs of the industry on all the issues that have to be discussed with the Chief Minister. The meeting took place at Megastar Chiranjeevi’s residence on Sunday.
Members from the industry like King Nagarjuna, Geetha Arts owner Allu Arvind, Suresh Babu, Dail Raju, Mythri Movie Makers owner Ravi Prasad and others were present at the key meeting.
It has been widely reported that the bigwigs discussed issues pertaining to the difficulties faced by film workers and theatre workers, electricity tariff, and the ticket rates in B and c centers.
The meeting chaired by Megastar Chiranjeevi lasted for three hours and several key issues are believed to have come up during the meeting.
The meeting between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Megastar Chiranjeevi has caught everyone’s attention. Earlier, the bigwigs have urged the Andhra Pradesh government to not restrict the ticket fares.
However, the government went ahead with the G.O. The issue is likely to come up during the meeting between the Chief Minister and Chiranjeevi. The meeting is likely to be held this week.
The members in the Tollywood industry are hoping that the forthcoming meeting will help in addressing and resolving the issues faced by the industry.
Earlier, Megastar Chiranjeevi and King Nagarjuna met Telangana Chief Minister KCR. The duo met the Chief Minister at the Pragathi Bhavan to brief him on the issues the industry is facing. The leading heroes have requested the Chief Minister to permit the film shootings that were suspended due to Covid.
