September 17 was the day when Telangana was freed from the Nizam ruling and was made a part of India. We have to thank the Former Deputy Prime Minister of India Vallabhbhai Patel. He was instrumental in liberating Hyderabad under Mission Polo.
Marking the occasion of Liberation Day, the political parties in the state have celebrated the special day. Besides remembering the freedom fighters, the political parties have remembered the sacrifices they made.
TRS senior leader and MP K. Keshava Rao took part in the celebrations and hoisted the flag. The saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which has been battling for the demand to celebrate the day in a big way in the state had made elaborate arrangements for a public meeting. To make the meeting successful, Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the meeting that was held in Nirmal.
Before the meeting, the senior leader from the Telangana BJP, who recently got a promotion as a Union minister for culture and tourism G.
