The online tickets issue went through a lot of quick developments starting from Pawan Kalyan’s comments to the counter statements of YSRCP leaders. As another big development, the representatives of the Tollywood industry have met Andhra Pradesh Minister Perni Nani on Wednesday to discuss the issues that concern the film industry.
Addressing the media, producer Dil Raju said that Cinema is a sensitive matter and urged everyone to not drag it into controversies. The Andhra Pradesh government had responded to our requests positively. We asked the government to give more info on how the new system is going to be, Dil Raju said.
The impact faced by the industry will reflect upon the producers, theatre owners, distributors. On the behalf of the industry, I am requesting everyone to not push the industry into controversy. The governments of both Telugu states are supporting us.
When we met the Minister earlier, we had informed him of the issues faced by the industry like the theatre occupancy, admission rates. The officials and Minister positively responded to the issue. We were happy that the government is positive towards us. We had asked the government to bring an online system. But we couldn’t convey the same in the industry that led to these issues, he asserted.
With the issues surrounding the industry growing, we came here to meet the Minister. We had placed our issues, pandemic problems, and other issues and asked him to take our issues to the Chief Minister. Politics and movies are different. The governments are always helpful to us. It’s on the media to see that cinema will not get affected by politics.
