The Congress Party is gearing up to begin the organisational cleanup in Telangana. New committees and new chiefs would be appointed for all the district units. Soon after he took over as the TPCC chief, Revanth Reddy focussed on holding some big meetings and touring several districts. From January, he is likely to take up the appointment of the DCC chief.
Sources say that Revanth Reddy has already begun reviewing the political situation in various districts. The party is trying to create awareness about the digital membership. Based on the digital membership, the new appointments would be taken up. Preference, according to sources, would be given to those who are active at the ground level. Even the constituency incharges would be appointed on the basis of the number of digital memberships they do.
If Congress sources are to be believed, only those who get at least 10 per cent digital membership would be done would be taken into consideration for the party posts. This work would be taken into account for giving party posts. At this level, several sitting DCC chiefs may be shown the door. The decisions would be taken on the basis of the progress reports, sources said.
