The Sankranti race was supposed to be between Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan and Prabhas. But with the arrival of Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’, both Mahesh and Pawan postponed their releases and safely avoided the competition. Rajamouli made it clear that his multi-starrer with Ram Charan and NTR will be hitting the screens worldwide on 7th January. Within a week’s gap, Prabhas will be arriving with his epic love saga ‘Radhe Shyam’. Both these films are pan-Indian releases and the competition is going to be huge even though Rajamouli’s action drama has an advantage over Prabhas’s love story.
But Akkineni Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya’s family entertainer ‘Bangarraju’ was rumored to be arriving on 15th January. The songs garnered a good response but the makers are yet to release the trailer. As we know, ‘Bangarraju’ is a sequel of ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ which came out in 2016. Ramya Krishna and Krithi Shetty are the heroines in this film and there are decent expectations on it. Despite all that, pundits suggest that locking horns with such huge projects is not a good strategy if they want their film to succeed.
The makers have not made any official announcement regarding the release date. They neither denied the reports of postponement nor agreed to it. It is to be seen what step do the makers of ‘Bangarraju’ take.
