Sensational director Ram Gopal Varma has a peculiar persona. His comments and actions make him the controversy’s favorite child. However, his logical approach towards things makes him tough to beat in an argument. With the same approach, RGV is showering a flood of questions on the Andhra Pradesh government on the movie tickets issue.
Starting an overall attack on the government, RGV is not leaving any stone unturned to voice his opinion on the matter. RGV is of the opinion that the industry is a private entity and the government has no jurisdiction to decide the terms for the industry on the movie tickets.
RGV is not happy with the arguments of Andhra Pradesh Ministers that consumers have the facility to return the products they buy and can the same be applied to the movie theatres. If people won’t like the movie, will the movie tickets be accepted?
Taking a dig at the Ministers, RGV asked will the government step down if the voters say they are not happy with the government. RGV made these comments while seeing the issue from the consumer satisfaction point of view.
Adding further RGV said the government was given the power so that the film industry gets support from the government and does not expect the government to sit on our heads.
The ace filmmaker targeting the Andhra Pradesh government did not go well with the Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Nani. Reacting to the issue, the firebrand Minister lashed out at Ram Gopal Varma.
Coming down severely on the filmmaker, Kodali Nani opined that there is no need of giving a thought about his(RGV) comments. His comments have got no relevance to the issue.
“Why should we bother about comments made by a person who stays in the neighboring state, but makes comments on Andhra Pradesh. We will not think much about those who live in neighboring states and other countries. We stick to our decision on the movie tickets issue,” Kodali Nani said.
RGV also urged the members of the Tollywood film industry to step in and react to the issue. The director said, if they cannot react now, then they would not be able to react later.
