Why BJP is distancing itself from Telangana bifurcation

Former Lok Sabha member and Public Speaker Undavalli Arun Kumar needs no introduction. Off late, he has been responding to much-talked-about political issues. He once again reacted to a popular issue. In a press meet, Undavalli gave his take on how Telangana was bifurcated from combined Andhra Pradesh.

Amid controversy over Telangana formation row, Undavalli Arun Kumar had acknowledged the fact that Telangana was formed without letting the members participate in the vote and the whole process was done in a closed-door affair.

Having said that, Undavalli Arun Kumar found fault with PM Modi holding Congress responsible for the formation of the state. He said that both Congress and BJP played their roles in the state formation.

Quoting senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sushma Swaraj as saying, Undavalli said that Sushma Swaraj played the role of Chinnamma in the state formation. Redlining how Sushma said the same in Telugu, Undavalli found fault with the BJP stand.

Undavalli said that both Congress and BJP were responsible for the state formation and highlighted how the BJP gave back-end support for the state formation.

Undavalli went on to say that, BJP is using the Telangana formation issue every time the party news to do something. He had quoted the Jammu and Kashmir issue as an example.

Flaying Narendra Modi for fighting for the AP issue, Undavalli said that BJP is just creating an issue instead of knowing the root cause of the issue. He asked why the BJP which was in opposition when the state was formed did not say anything on this.

Having said that, Udavalli Arun Kumar urged the Andhra Pradesh government to raise the same issue in Parliament. Saying that he had sent the clippings of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah on Andhra Pradesh, he had batted for the demand on a discussion on the issue.

He had concluded the press meet by saying that both Congress and BJP did their part in the state formation and found fault with the BJP accusing the other party.

When asked about the language used by KCR against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that it is not appreciable the way he addressed the Prime Minister.
