A lot of prominent films are ready to hit the screens on 25th February. Sharwanand’s ‘Aadavallu Meeku Joharlu’, Kiran Abbavaram’s ‘Sebastian PC 524’ and Varun Tej’s ‘Ghani’ have announced that they will be arriving on the same day. While some of them kick-started the promotions too, there is one thing that is worrying them. It is none other than Pawan Kalyan’s crazy project ‘Bheemla Nayak’.
This much-awaited film is set to arrive on the 25th and the makers announced the date long back. But they are not promoting the film as of now and waiting for the Andhra Pradesh government to lift the restrictions including 50% occupancy, less number of shows and others. While the ticket rates have been increased and there are expected to be five shows per day, the rule of 50% occupancy in theatres is yet to be lifted. The government is yet to release a new order regarding this and it is holding back the makers of ‘Bheemla Nayak’ to make their next move.
While Sharwanand and Kiran Abbavaram’s films will be hitting the screens despite the competition, the uncertainty is over Varun Tej’s sports drama ‘Ghani’. The makers spent a lot on this movie and there are good expectations on it. Considering the business of this film, they are hesitating to release the film on the same day ‘Bheemla Nayak’ arrives.
The news suggests that Pawan’s ‘Bheemla Nayak’ will arrive on 25th if the 50% occupancy in theatres is removed. Since there is not a lot of time left, inside sources reveal that ‘Bheemla Nayak’ may get postponed. If Pawan’s movie hits the screens, Varun Tej will be postponing the film. The ball is in the court of ‘Bheemla Nayak’ makers now. Grapevine suggests that the official news regarding the release of both the Mega films can be expected today. Let us wait and see what they decide.
‘Bheemla Nayak’ is a remake of Malayalam film ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’. Rana Daggubati will be seen locking horns with Pawan onscreen. Trivikram modified the script to suit the Telugu audience and penned the dialogues too while Sagar K Chandra is the director.
‘Ghani’ is Varun’s 10th film and it is helmed by debut director Kiran Korrapati. Allu Bobby is the producer while Suniel Shetty and Upendra play key roles. Saiee Manjrekar is the heroine in this project.
Thaman is the music composer for both these Mega projects.
