Will Congress ever transform itself? Will it be able to transform itself in Telangana? Will it be able to emerge as the credible alternative to the ruling TRS? Will the leaders keep playing their own games even when the party is facing an existential crisis in Telangana? These are the questions that are being asked in Gandhi Bhavan these days.
It is now emerging that party MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy too has joined the Jagga Reddy batch. He too has been keeping a distance from the party’s leadership.
He has not been seen in the Gandhi Bhavan in several years. Sources say that he has not joined the digital membership drive of the party in his constituency.
Meanwhile, it is now emerging that it was Komatireddy who dissuaded Sangareddy MLA Turpu Jagga Reddy from leaving the Congress. He is said to have convinced Jagga Reddy to wait for some more time and that both he and Jagga Reddy together can leave the Congress Party.
The TPCC is worried that both these leaders could administer a shock to the party at the most inopportune time.
Meanwhile, both the leaders would remain in the party and wreck it from inside, Congress insiders feel. Though Jagga Reddy has deferred his leaving of the Congress Party, he has not stopped criticising Revanth Reddy and the party leadership.
Ditto with Rajagopal Reddy too is critical of the TPCC. Many feel that both the leaders are
working to a plan.
