What explains the sudden political activism of Bro. Anil Kumar? Why is he harping the BC mantra when he himself is a Christian of Brahmin origin? Why are the BC communities approaching him to lead a front against the YSRCP? Why is a third political party after YSRCP and YSRTP of YS Sharmila, coming up in the Telugu states?
Political observers say that this is an attempt to wean away the Christian votes from the YSRCP. One of the biggest supporting vote banks for the YSRCP is the Christian voters. But, Bro. Anil is targeting these voters. They argue that there is a growing discontent among the Christians about the way Jagan is ruling the state. Bro. Anil, sources say, wants to channelise this.
However, some sources say this is a clever ploy from the YS family to divide anti-Jagan votes. By bringing all these anti-YSRCP groups under one umbrella and making them vote for Bro Anil’s party, there is an attempt to prevent them from going towards either Jana Sena or the TDP, which are quite strong. Thus, this will only go on to strengthen the YSRCP.
Bro. Anil is also planning to project the slogan of BC as AP CM in the days to come. This will bring all those who are opposed to YS Jagan towards him. In effect, these votes will not also go towards the TDP. Sources say Bro Anil is planning to launch his party in Delhi soon.
