With the lines of regional cinema getting blurred, a lot of filmmakers are showing interest in working with heroes from other languages now. Vamsi Paidipally is directing Tamil star hero Vijay, Lingusamy is making a film with Ram and Shankar is directing Ram Charan for a political thriller. In the same way, another noted director is getting ready to make his Telugu debut.
He is none other than Venkat Prabhu. This creative director who is known for his interesting films like ‘Rakshasudu’, ‘Gambler’, ‘Biryani’, ‘Saroja’ and others is planning his entry into Tollywood. His last film ‘Maanadu’ with Simbu is a super hit and it is dubbed in Telugu as ‘Loop’ in Telugu.
He is currently promoting his upcoming film ‘Manmadha Leelai’ which is getting released on 1st April. When asked about his Telugu debut, he stated, “Yes, my next film will be in Telugu. Naga Chaitanya will be playing the lead and it will also have a slew of other stars. We are yet to confirm the rest of the cast and crew.”
If sources are to be trusted Pooja Hegde who got a lot of fame by acting alongside Vijay in ‘Beast’ is going to be the heroine. The rest of the details will be coming out soon. Venkat Prabhu even said that he is planning to remake ‘Maanadu’ in Hindi too. Let us wait and see when Chaitanya’s project kickstarts.
