Director Puri Jagannath was all set to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi in the actor’s comeback film, which would also be his 150th film, back in 2017.
However, these plans fell through and while Chiru went on to do Khaidi No. 150, a remake of the Tamil film Kaththi, Puri went on to be busy with other projects.
Puri is currently busy with Liger, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in the lead roles.
Apart from that, the official launch of Puri’s next film, Jana Gana Mana, also took place today, which would feature Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, making it his second collaboration with the director.
At the press meet following the launch of the film, a reporter asked director Puri about his film with Chiru, and if there is a chance of Puri directing Chiru in the upcoming future, Vijay had an interesting answer.
Vijay told the reporter that Puri would be seen acting alongside Chiru very soon. And while there’s no proper understanding of how this might happen, and whether it will or will not happen, it would be highly interesting to see the two share screenspace, and it would be even more interesting to see who would difect these two.
