Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on Saturday inaugurated the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Dakshin – South India Media and Entertainment Summit and it was attended by top directors like SS Rajamouli, Mani Ratnam and Sukumar.

Speaking at the event, the RRR director said that he is terrified of the day when theatres might become irrelevant, but he is going to do whatever it takes to bring the audience to the cinemas. He also said that his films are big-scale action driven by emotion. He further explained that no one in the world knows what will click with the audience. “I go towards what drives my emotions. So all my movies are different,” he added.
Pushpa director Sukumar advised the youngsters that they will learn on the job. ‘Just jump in and learn on the job,’ he said.
The ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam made interesting comments saying that he makes films that don’t preach. He also said that Rajamouli is his biggest inspiration. “When I saw that a movie can be made in two parts and be successful, I started work on my current film,” he added.
