Now that the political game of thrones in the Vizianagaram royal family has almost been settled, where will young Sanchayita go? Sanchayita, daughter of Ashok’s brother Ananda Gajapathi Raju’s former wife, was brought from Delhi to claim the chairpersonship of the Mansas Trust, the fiefdom of the Gajapathis.
The YSRCP saw promise in her and made her the chairperson. The idea was to pit her against Ashok Gajapathi. But, courts – both local and the High Court – have given their verdict in support of Ashok Gajapathi Raju. Now, he is the chairperson of not just the Mansas Trust, but also the Simhachalam and Ramatirtham temples. This leaves Sanchayita nowhere. She has no options left.
Sanchayita cannot even hope for political future. She has several problems contesting the elections. Ashok Gajapathi’s daughter Aditi is more known and more popular, compared to outsider Sanchayita. Now, even the YSRCP seems to be looking the other way when it comes to rehabilitating her.
Prior to landing in Vizianagaram dispute, Sanchayita was a BJP spokesperson based out of Delhi. Now, doors are closed for her both in the YSRCP as well as the BJP. The BJP now looks at her with suspicion. She cannot obviously go to the TDP, with which she has a running feud. All this have left her at the political crossroads.
