Jakkanna Watches RRR with Komaram Bheem’s Kin!

Legendary revolutionary Komaram Bheem is a known name in Telugu states and outside the Telugu states, he is not that famous. But thanks to SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR, the entire nation got to know about him and other revolutionary Alluri Sitarama Raju. His recent outing RRR was based on the fictional tale of two personalities.

After making the country talk about the legendary personality, Rajamouli experienced an indescribable experience of watching RRR along with the family of Komaram Bheem. The director went all the way to Asifabad, the native place of Bheem. He received a grand welcome there.

Rajamouli watched RRR at a mobile theatre and the specialty of the theatre is that it was built at a low cost and women played a big role in constructing the air balloon theatre. It was built in collaboration between the picture time organization and local SHGs and it was named Komaram Bheem theatre.

Sharing his happiness, Rajamouli said that he is quite happy looking at the establishment and watching the film with the family members of Komaram Bheem and said that he will not forget this memory. On the occasion, he had thanked the officials and Bheem family members for inviting him.

For the screening of RRR at the air balloon theatre, Rajamouli received a warm welcome from the district officials and Komaram Sonerao, the grandson of Komaram Bheem.

After reaching Asifabad, Rajamouli went to the museum where Komaram Bheem’s statue was set up. He paid his tribute to the legend by offering flowers to the revolutionary. Later, he went to the theatre and watched RRR.

Komaram Bheem hails from the Gond community and he is known for his fight against the atrocities of the Nizam rulers. He lived for 40 years and within a short time, he gave many sleepless nights to the Nizam rulers with his Guerrilla warfare. He was shot by the Nizam Police at Jodeghat. To fight for the rights of the Gond community in the forest, Komaram Bheem used the slogan Jal, Jangal, Zameen.

RRR directed by Rajamouli stars NTR Jr and Ram Charan in pivotal roles. While NTR essayed the role of Komaram Bheem, Ram Charan played Alluri Sitarama Raju. RRR had earned over 1,000 crores making it the only third film in India to do so.
