As a heinous crime, a woman was reportedly gang-raped at the premises of a hospital in Andhra Pradesh. The concerned Police have swung into action and made a few arrests. The accused are being grilled for information as the initial information says that the accused have approached the victim on the pretext of providing a job and did the heinous crime.
The victim was later admitted to a hospital and she is undergoing treatment there. The case took a political turn when leaders of both the ruling YSRCP and o[pposition Telugu Desam Party reached the hospital at the same time. They have also raised anti-slogans against each other, reports say.
Opposition Leader Chandrababu Naidu and State Woman Corporation Chairperson Vasireddy Padma reached the hospital around the same time. The TDP leaders who accompanied Chandrababu had an argument with Padma reportedly. Things escalated quickly and the arguments turned intense.
The TDP leaders have lashed out at the government on the issue and asked what the Chief Minister is doing in Ongole instead of visiting the victim. Listing out similar incidents, the grand old Telugu Desam Party had alleged that there is no protection for women in the state.
On the other hand, Vasireddy Padma also hit back at the opposition alleging that TDP leaders reached the hospital to politicize the issue. She said that the culprits will not be spared and strict instructions have been given to Police to not leave the culprits.
