Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan took the forthcoming elections seriously and is meeting the leaders and cadre regularly. The Janasena chief is making sure that he doesn’t repeat his previous mistakes. Learning from his mistakes, Pawan Kalyan is projecting himself as the Chief Minister candidate and making offers to parties that say yes to his Chief Minister candidacy.
As a big step in this, Pawan Kalyan in his recent meeting with Janasena leaders placed three options before the parties and left the choice to the parties. Looks like the time of providing the options was not good as it is backfiring massively.
His current ally Bharatiya Janata Party and former ally Telugu Desam Party was not happy with the options. The grand old Telugu Desam Party said that it is not ready for the options and advised Pawan to take the fourth option which is to join hands with KA Paul. Recently, KA Paul said that he would become the Prime Minister and he will make Pawan Chief Minister.
Pawan Kalyan fans expected that at least the saffron party would say yes to the proposal. Shockingly, the BJP also did not like the proposal. The BJP leaders asked what’s the urgency in selecting the Chief Minister candidate when the polls are two years away. Forgetting what happened with Bihar, the BJP is saying that BJP will not show a non-BJP leader as the Chief Minister candidate.
When Pawan Kalyan offered the options everyone thought that the Telugu Desam Party would not accept the proposal. Given the pedigree the party carries, it would be a big dream for Janasena to expect yes from the party. The same happened here. Chandrababu cannot sacrifice his CM post for Pawan Kalyan. The Telugu Desam Party leaders and cadre cannot digest if this happens. So TDP’s response is not a surprise.
More than Telugu Desam Party, the BJP had hurt Pawan Kalyan and his fans. If the saffron party would have said the same in a soft tone it would have been nice. But the tone in which the leaders said no to the proposal made Pawan Kalyan fans and Janasena supporters angry.
