The combination of Sukumar and Allu Arjun proved that you don’t need SS Rajamouli to score a pan-Indian blockbuster. Their movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ which came out in December last year turned out to be a humongous success all across the nation. Despite getting a mixed response on the first day, the movie recovered from it and became a super hit in South India and North India as well. The level of success it achieved in the Northern parts was a surprise to everyone.
Despite releasing without any buzz in Hindi, the movie slowly picked up the pace and ended up collecting over 100 crores in North India alone. The character of Allu Arjun connected well with the audience and Pushparaj’s mannerisms became a huge trend. The songs have become chartbusters and people are listening to them even now. All eyes are on ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ which is expected to arrive at the end of next year. The shooting of this film kickstarted recently and the popularity of the first part is immensely helping the second part.
Sources claim that Sukumar is shooting a couple of shots in order to make a teaser cut ready by December. Apparently, the teaser glimpse of ‘Pushpa 2’ will be made before going into the actual shooting. As per reports, the team is planning to attach the teaser of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ along with ‘Avatar 2’ which is coming out on 16th December worldwide. News is that the teaser will be coming out in 25 languages and releasing it with ‘Avatar 2’ is going to bring a nationwide buzz on the second part. This will help in bringing a lot of business to the second part and Sukumar’s rustic action drama will be released on a bigger scale this time.
‘Pushpa: The Rise’ showcased the journey of Pushparaj’s character. Starting from a daily worker, Sukumar showcased how the character of Pushparaj grew into a syndicate head. He makes a lot of enemies on his way including the police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat played by the highly talented Fahadh Fasil. The second part revolves around the war between Allu Arjun and Fahadh Fasil.
Rashmika played the role of Srivalli in this film while Malayalam star hero Fahadh Faasil played the role of Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. Actors like Ajay Ghosh, Sunil, Anasuya and others played negative roles in this high-budget film. Devi Sri Prasad gave the music while Mythri Movie Makers bankrolled it.
