Going into details, Megastar Chiranjeevi faced a case back in 2014 for allegedly violating the election mode of conduct. Citing a few violations,a case was filed against him by the authorities. He was with the grand old Congress Party then.
The nine-year-old case took a big turn with the High Court quashing the case. It is said that Chiranjeevi moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking directives to quash the case. Hearing the petition, the High Court quashed the court.
Though the case was filed against him back in 2014, it is said that no inquiry and investigation went into the case all these years. At last, Chiranjeevi faced a big relief in the case.
Violating the election mode of conduct is seen as a big issue and the concerned authorities will file a case against the violators. We have seen a few instances where cases were filed against the legislators.
Mega Star Chiranjeevi took the political path and floated his Praja Rajyam party. He contested the 2009 polls and his party managed to win 18 seats in the combined Andhra Pradesh.
However, Chiranjeevi did not run the party for too long and merged his party into the Congress party. For this, he was given a Rajya Sabha seat and he was nominated to the house. Chiranjeevi was given the Tourism Ministry. He campaigned for the party as well and during the same the case was filed.
