The Indian Constitution granted us many rights and mentioned a few duties. It is known that the Constitution also granted reservations to certain communities to give them a helping hand. However, the reservation issue has become sensitive of late with people debating extensively on this.
Amid this, a big personality who enjoys massive prominence in the country waged into the issue and made some interesting comments. He said that the reservations should be extended till a certain point and they are supporting the reservations that were imposed.
Mohan Bhagwat, the serving chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is a name that needs no introduction. At a recent meeting, he made some interesting comments on the reservations and said that they should be backed till the discrimination exists.
Talking about the social aspect of reservations, the RSS chief said that for a few thousand years, certain sections were left behind in the social system and to provide equal opportunities, measures like reservation should be there and supported.
Adding further Mohan Bhagwat said that these communities are left behind in the system and in a bid to give them equal opportunities we have to take measures like reservation. RSS is extending its support for the reservation, he said
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat’s comments on reservation came at a time when we are seeing tense situations with the fight to have special reservations in a few states. With this, his comments gained some importance and prominence.
He went on to say that a few sections went through suffering for over 2000 years and for their benefit people should get ready to suffer for 200 years. The reservation should be there until caste discrimination is eradicated, he said
