Victory Venkatesh and Natural Star Nani joined forces to promote their upcoming movies, ‘Saindhav’ and ‘Hi Nanna,’ slated for release on January 13th and December 7th, respectively. In a candid chit-chat, the two stars delved into discussions about their movies, careers, and various aspects of the film industry.
Nani, reflecting on the numerical milestones in their careers, shares, ‘Venkatesh Garu, your ‘Saindhav’ marks your 75th film, and I can’t help but draw comparisons to Chiranjeevi Garu’s iconic 150th film. In my 16 years in the industry, ‘Hi Nanna’ will be my 30th movie. To reach those numbers, I would need to maintain this pace for the next 60 years.'”
Venkatesh playfully responds, “‘So you are going in my path.’ Acknowledging the changes in the industry, he adds, ‘Maybe now the stakes are a bit higher, actors are more cautious, and budgets are escalating. In the earlier days, doing 4-5 movies a year was common, with some even taking on 7-9 projects annually. But that won’t be possible now.'”
Curious about the shift, Nani questions, “‘But why, sir? Do you think it’s due to caution or technology?'” Venkatesh provides insights, “‘No, now it is still possible if tried. Multiple tasks can be managed when movies are on high budgets.'”
Transitioning to discuss their films, Nani highlights the professionalism of the cast, especially the child artists. Nani echoes the sentiment, praising the talent of the heroines, with a special mention for Mrunal Thakur, Shraddha Srinath, Andrea Jeremiah, Ruhani Sharma. Venkatesh concludes with admiration for Nawazuddin Siddique, stating, “‘The Bollywood antagonist did a superb job in it.'”
In this candid exchange, Nani and Venkatesh provide a nuanced perspective on their careers, the industry’s evolution, and the collaborative efforts that bring their films to life.”
