Director Siddharth Anand, famed for his adrenaline-pumping action thrillers like “Bang Bang” and “War,” marks a new chapter in his career with the release of “Fighter.” This time, he departs from the world of espionage, venturing into the high-octane realm of fighter pilots alongside his frequent collaborator, Hrithik Roshan.
Reuniting for the third time, Hrithik and Siddharth Anand team up with Deepika Padukone in “Fighter,” promising a visually stunning spectacle set against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force. Ahead of the film’s official release, a special screening held for industry insiders generated immense buzz and anticipation.
Hrithik Roshan poured his heart out during the event, expressing his admiration for co-star Anil Kapoor, who plays a veteran pilot in the film. He reminisced about his early days as an assistant to Kapoor, watching and learning from the seasoned actor. Roshan shared a poignant anecdote about witnessing Kapoor’s emotional vulnerability while filming a seemingly aggressive scene. “He interpreted the scene with such depth and raw emotion, tears welled up in his eyes when he received appreciation for it,” Hrithik recounted, awestruck by Kapoor’s dedication even after four decades of cinematic experience.
Despite the overwhelming positive response, “Fighter” faced slight adjustments requested by the Central Board of Film Certification. Certain close-up shots of Deepika Padukone in the song “Besharam Rang” were trimmed to secure a U/A certificate.
With its high-flying action sequences, star-studded cast, and behind-the-scenes anecdotes igniting excitement, “Fighter” promises to be a thrilling cinematic experience. Siddharth Anand, having carved a niche for himself in the realm of action cinema, takes flight with this new high-stakes adventure, leaving audiences eager to witness the magic unfold on the big screen.
