The highly anticipated Telugu sequel “Tillu Square” is gearing up for its release on March 29, 2024, amidst a whirlwind of excitement. Fans are hopeful that the film will capture the same level of entertainment and comedic madness as its predecessor, “DJ Tillu.”
Promotional efforts, including trailers and interviews, have garnered a positive response, further fueling audience anticipation. However, the pre-release event held on the evening before the release witnessed a notable absence – the film’s heroine, Anupama Parameswaran.
Addressing the audience’s curiosity, lead actor Siddu Jonnalagadda shed light on the reason behind Parameswaran’s missed appearance. He revealed that she was deeply affected by the vulgar comments directed towards a recently released poster for “Tillu Square.” The poster, featuring the lead pair in a kiss, sparked controversy due to the placement of Parameswaran’s hand, leading to a barrage of inappropriate remarks on social media platforms.
Jonnalagadda rightfully condemned this behavior, urging audiences to maintain respectful boundaries when discussing female actors. He reportedly advised Parameswaran to skip the pre-release event due to her understandably low spirits. Jonnalagadda delivered a strong yet polite message towards those who engage in such online harassment, highlighting the anonymity and negativity associated with internet commentary.
Despite her absence at the pre-release event, Jonnalagadda assured audiences that Parameswaran would be present at future promotional activities. In a previous interview, Parameswaran expressed her appreciation for the learning experience on set while acknowledging the challenges of performing romantic scenes in front of large crews.
“Tillu Square,” directed by Mallik Ram, is produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, presented by Srikara Studios. The film boasts Siddu Jonnalagadda himself as the writer, with Bheems Ceciroleo composing the background score and AS Prakash serving as the art director. With the mystery surrounding Parameswaran’s absence addressed and the promise of her future involvement, the excitement for “Tillu Square” continues to simmer.
