Allari Naresh, known for his comedic roles, is embarking on a new path with his upcoming film “Bachchala Malli.” This shift comes after a string of successful comedies and a recent foray into more serious films like “Naandi,” “Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam,” and “Ugram.”
Directed by Subbu Mangadevvi (of “Solo Brathuke So Better” fame) and produced by Razesh Danda and Balaji Gutta (Hasya Movies – “Samajavaragamana” and “Ooru Peru Bhairavakona”), “Bachchala Malli” promises a thrilling action drama packed with emotional depth.
The recently released first-look poster showcases a dramatic transformation for Naresh. Gone is the comedic persona, replaced by a fierce and intense look. Sporting messy hair, an uneven beard, and a cigarette dangling from his lips, Naresh sits on a rickshaw, his eyes radiating determination. The background hints at a carnival setting with fireworks and figures dressed as ferocious deities, further amplifying the film’s potential for high-octane action.
Amritha Aiyer takes on the female lead role, while a supporting cast comprising Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Achyuth Kumar, Balagam Jayaram, and others adds further weight to the production.
Set in the 1990s, “Bachchala Malli” delves into the protagonist’s emotional journey. Filming nears completion at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.
The film boasts a talented crew, with Subbu Mangadevvi penning the story and dialogues alongside Vipparthi Madhu (screenplay) and Viswanetra (additional screenplay). Music will be composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar (“Sita Ramam”), while Richard M Nathan (cinematographer for “Maanaadu,” “Rangam,” and “Matti Kusthi”) captures the visuals. Chota K Prasad handles editing, and Brahma Kadali takes on production design duties.
The release date for “Bachchala Malli” is yet to be announced, but with its intriguing premise, dramatic transformation of the lead actor, and a skilled team behind the scenes, the film is sure to generate considerable anticipation.
