Andhra Pradesh High Court Justice Rakesh Kumar has retired from service today, and he received a very warm farewell from the farmers of Amaravati, who thanked him with folded hands, along Seed Access road in Amaravati.
Right from the very beginning, Rakesh Kumar had stood by the farmers, and tried to serve justice to them whenever he could. Rakesh Kumar even interacted with a few farmers along the way, and thanked them for their love towards him.
Rakes Kumar had made several statements against the Andhra Pradesh government, and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, just a day before his retirement. These statements caused a lot of shock among the people and political circles of Andhra Pradesh.
Rakesh Kuamr criticised Jagan for sending a letter to the Chief Justice of India, SA Bobde, in October, and said that directly or indirectly, this letter to the CJI is linked to the transfers of the Chief Justices of the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana High Courts.
Rakesh Kumar also said that the transfer of the Andhra Pradesh High Court greatly affects the farmers of Amaravati, as all the cases would come up for hearing right from the very beginning, in front of a new bench.
He also said that the government of AP is trying to influence every bit of the state, and take matters into their hands, which is why the CM wrote a letter to the CJI.
Rakesh said that the transfer of AP HC Chief Justice will also help put a hold on the hearings of Jagan’s criminal cases. He also said that he was shocked when he saw the kind of cases that Jagan was involved in.
Rakesh Kumar also criticised Mission Build AP Special Officer Praveen Kumar, for trying to auction or sell the lands that belong to the state. Following Praveen’s trials, a case for Contempt of Court has been requested to be filed against him.
