With ‘Adipurush’ stepping out of the Sankranti race, movies like ‘Waltair Veerayya’, ‘Veera Simha Reddy’, ‘Agent’ and ‘Varasudu’ will have a chance to get more box office collections. But fans of Prabhas who expected the mythological drama to arrive in January are quite disappointed. The film’s director Om Raut has taken to Twitter and announced the new release date.
He said that the movie will be coming out in theatres all over the world on 16th June 2023. The official announcement says, “Adipurush is not a film, but a representation of our devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram and commitment towards our Sanskriti and history. In order to give a complete visual experience to the viewers, we need to give more time to the teams working on the film. Adipurush will now release on June 16th, 2023. We are committed to make a film that India will be proud of. Your support, love and blessings is what keeps us going.”
The makers have decided to release the movie six months later than its original date. Fans of Prabhas are hoping that additional couple of months will help the team in giving the audience a better output. After the teaser’s release, people slammed the film left right and centre. The CGI work and designing of a few characters did not go down well with the viewers. Everything looked artificial according to them and a lot of criticism is being showered on the director, producers and hero Prabhas too. Om Raut and the ‘Baahubali’ hero came out in public and tried to explain it to the public and even arranged 3D screenings in various theatres to show the movie’s quality. There were warnings from right-wing politicians too.
As we know, tall and gorgeous beauty Kriti Sanon will be seen as Sita in ‘Adipurush’ while Saif Ali Khan will play the villain Lankesh. Sachet-Parampara will give the music while Sunny Singh will be seen as Lakshman. Apart from ‘Adipurush’, Prabhas is also focusing on ‘Salaar’, ‘Project K’ and Maruthi’s film.
