After Left parties, KCR meets with RJD

Only yesterday did Telangana Chief Minister KCR meet with the Left Parties, led by Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. It is being speculated that KCR met with the Left parties in an attempt to team up with them, ahead of the 2024 elections, and to form a Federal alliance, against the BJP.

KCR met with the leaders of Rashtriya Janata Dal today, led by leader Tejashwi Yadav, son of former Bihar chief minister Laloo Prasad Yadav, at Pragathi Bhavan. Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar Assembly, was accompanied by former minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui, ex-MLC Sunil Singh and former MLA Bhola Yadav. Telangana Industry Minister and KCR’s son K.T. Rama Rao, MP Santosh Kumar and others were also present during the meeting.

While a statement from the CMO described the meeting as a courtesy call, reports say that KCR had discussed with them, in detail, the anti-people policies of the National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre, including anti-farmer legislations, disinvestment in public sector undertakings, usurping of powers of the states which is against the federal spirit, misuse of central agencies to target BJP’s political rivals etc.
