In quite a shocking incident, An Air India stewardess was caught pilfering Food, Juices, Liquor and whatever that she could lay her hands on after her duty in an international service bound to Colombo. The incident happened on 27th January, the officials have scanned the baggage of the subject following a tip-off and were amazed to find the stuff that she carried with her.
She was part of the team on AI-274 service Chennai-Colombo-Delhi and return Colombo-Delhi-Chennai with a night halt at Delhi. The stewardess was caught upon her arrival at Chennai Airport and was immediately taken-off the roster and an inquiry has been ordered to probe the issue.
AI have been victims of such mean behaviour from their employees which was eating into their resources, hence the new chairman Ashwani Lohlani declared that there will be zero-tolerance towards such acts to safeguard interests of the company.
The woman in discussion has carried Nuts, Whiskey bottles, Milk Packets, Fruit Juices, Tea Packets and many other things that she could collect and hide.
Apart from being a loss to the company, such incidents will degrade it’s image and will create a filthy impression in general public. Hope that the airline company will find a way to get rid of their endless problems.
